I really love your music and your great lyrics as well. I write often and I am posting two of my poems here for you (and The Wallflowers) I hope that you enjoy my poems and I did write each one with song lyrics in mind. I am hoping you may choose one or all of my poems for song lyrics.

Dear Jakob Dylan
I really love your music and your great lyrics as well. I write often and I am posting two of my poems here for you (and The Wallflowers) I hope that you enjoy my poems and I did write each one with song lyrics in mind. I am hoping you may choose one or all of my poems for song lyrics.

The Truth
The truth lies nailed to a wooden cross
But have we gained anything by his loss?
A faith that grew from a sacred heart
Meant to bring us together, not drive us apart
Over shifting sands through desert heat
With the wisdom to save us from our own defeat
And though he left his footprints in the sand
Made no claim of ownership upon the land
Walked on water, rose above his pride
Unleashed wild horses so together we could ride
His eyes were witness to a forth-coming dream
Parted the veil hiding a truth yet unseen
He traveled with his followers and his friends
And Only one betrayed him in the end
In death he has become a cornerstone
To a temple where the lost can find a home
The flicker of millions of candle flames
Burn eternally in remembrance of his name

Progress
Lately a stream of tears roll down my face
Wondering how our world got to this place
Tell me, is it really progress we've made?
Or has all of humanity been continually played?
Will starvation and poverty become things of the past?
How long will the virtues of care and compassion last?
The mighty Mississippi river still winds and turns
And somewhere in the night crosses still burn
Thousands of homes have been repossessed
Yet another rung in the ladder of progress
Domestic disputes settled at the end of a gun
We all remember how the west was won
Oil and debris washing up on the beach
For the poor their dreams remain out of reach
Mentally ill being sentenced to hard time
Seems their illness has become a crime
How long have we all been living a lie?
As politicians hang their dirty laundry to dry
Too many wars waged in the name of oil
Soldiers taking ownership over foreign soils
Many wait for the return of our Lord
While others must live and die by the sword
Progress for all it's worth has led to a depression
But the government keeps calling it a recession
I would like to be the bearer of good news
We all need to question the path we choose
Our world has become plastic by design
Who holds the torch that guides mankind?
Do justice and equality really even exist?
Are they possible in a world corrupt as this?
We've all laid down in a bed of lies
Opened the door to those who hate and despise
No longer can I see the shining light of truth
The way I could while still in my youth
It's time to speak honestly and lift the veil
Allowing truth, liberty and justice to prevail
There must be a bridge where the righteous can cross
Carrying us away from all this decay and loss
