The Benefit Concerts will be held Saturday, October 29th and Sunday, October 30th, at the 500 seat Plaza del Sol Performance Hall on the campus of California State University, Northridge. Tickets for this second show will be available by listening to KCSN on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday October 23rd. When KCSN listeners hear the ‘cue-to-call” they will call to make “Pledge For Petty”.
Joining Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers on this bill will be Jakob Dylan as well as breakout new artist, Lissie. Jakob Dylan will be joined by Russ Pollard, Jason Soda, and Eli Thomason from the Los Angeles-based band Everest.
Proceeds from the Pledge Drive will be used to support growth initiatives for KCSN, including signal improvements and community outreach. A portion of proceeds will also go to benefit National Public Radio's Music Initiative. KCSN launched its "Smart Rock" format on July 15th, 2011.
Tickets to see Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will be available through supporting pledges to KCSN. The station will offer the chance to pledge for tickets at random times throughout the Pledge Drive, beginning on Saturday October 15th. Orchestra Pit tickets will be made available to KCSN members only via the station's Pledge Auction taking place between October 14 and October 23 at auctions.kcsn.org. The auctions will also include one-of-a-kind autographed memorabilia from U2, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Mumford & Sons, Mick Jagger, and more. All ticketing and KCSN membership details are available at kcsn.org and by listening to 88.5 FM KCSN.
Jakob will also be out on the road this fall for an upcoming Mid West tour. The tour is set to kick off at The Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri on November 9th, making multiple stops in Missouri and Oklahoma before wrapping up in Bloomington, Illinois on November 14th.

Re: Jakob Dylan to join Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers for two KCSN/LA Benefit shows!
I was at one of the shows Dylan held...I can't say anything about it except that it was TERRIFIC! The way he performs, his lyrics, his eyes - all these are perfect at his concerts! It's a pity I can't afford visiting his every show, but I'm working on it, honestly;)

Just got home from the Jakob Dylan concert at the Midland Theater in KCMO. My baby sis got tickets and took me for my 61st B-Day and it was awesome. Thank you Jakob for a spectacular and very special evening. I love the "big drums" and good old rock style that you have elevated your accoustical creations to. I love them the way they are on W &C and Seeing Things, but these were just so much more energized. The Wallflowers songs were fantastic too and you were just very entertaining and Everest was great and can everyone tell I had the best birthday ever.
Thanks so much for the great time and hope that there is a Wallflowers Reunion in January. I sure hope Jakob will keep on doing the solo thing too. I am so glad I stayed for the encore and got to hear the song from "A Little Help" soundtrack. IT is a beautiful song. Thanks again! so much for the great show!

Sounds nice. Good luck on the tour, Jakob. Wish you were coming to Florida. But, I'll be keeping up with your music.
